Project Rapper continues apace with a spot of longsword, lots of biscuits and a brace of Naked Ladies.0

Project Rapper was created by Colin Messer and Helena Cooper to organise occasional workshops teaching Rapper and Longsword in and around the south west of London and leafy Surrey.
The second workshop was held in Leatherhead on Sunday 6th December with the topic for discussion and practice being the Kirkby Malzeard longsword dance. This followed on from the Newbiggin rapper dance at the last workshop.
The day went off without a hitch with two sets up at the beginning of the session. Facebook posts about biscuits, beer and food do seem to get the most hits, so you will be pleased to know there was plenty of tea, coffee and chocolate biscuits.
The day started at 10am, broke at 1pm for lunch, there were Naked Ladies at a nearby Wetherspoons and the session closed up at 5pm. By the end of the session, each set was able to dance all the way through to the end, though Colin says a little more work may be required before dancing out.
As to Project Rapper’s next steps, Colin says that the initial aim had been to build a team, but there’s been a lot of interest in running more Sunday workshops as well, so they’re exploring some options.
He says there may well be some sort of SurveyMonkey to gauge opinions etc, so do keep an eye out.
