The picture is St George, The Doctor and The Dragon from Widcombe Mummers, performing in the centre of Bath (I think).
Jeff Lawson is on the prowl again for current and new subscribers to his epic regular publication “Rattle Up My Boys”, usually abbreviated to RUMB. He’s about to start the new series and this is (he says) an excellent time to subscribe. Please click RUMB subscription, fill it in and send it off. Remember RUMB contains all the news about longsword, all the history of longsword and all you need to know about longsword. Brave words indeed!

That man Jeff again, this time he’s compiled a list of Midwinter dancing of the longsword variety. If there’s anything missing off this list then you need to get in touch ASAP so that details of your event can go in next year’s programme. Remember to get in touch with the event organisers before you set off to any dance event, just in case! You can see the list – Midwinter Longsword 2015 2016
And lastly, an inter-cultural exchange took place over the weekend. Denmark’s Red Mum Rapper were hosted in traditional gin-soaked style by the Steel that is Sheffield. A large crawl took place on Saturday 28th November, and judging by the photographic evidence online, it looked like an awesome event. You can see some of the photos on Sheffield Steel’s Facebook page.
